And The Winner Is….Mocha Mousse!

Pantone’s Color of The Year

Mocha Mousse courtesy of Pantone

Pantone, the company who developed the color matching system, has designated Mocha Mousse the 2025 color of the year. Each year the company selects a color that they feel gives visual representation for the current cultural vibe. Mocha Mousse is a blend of brown, taupe and warm grey.

The rich color of Mocha Mousse (Pantone 17-1230) evokes warmth, comfort and a definite retro 1970s feel. This color works well with other popular mid century colors such as mustard, burnt orange and blue as well as with white, silver and gold. The color also lends itself to wood decor pieces.

Most of us don’t buy furniture every time Pantone releases a new color but it is fun to pick a few accent items to update your home, especially since this year’s color has a very mid century modern feel. Here are few items we think represent the essence of this year’s color. Click on the photo to go to the store featured.
